Abilities

Skills are primarily used outside of combat to determine the results of variable challenges. At 1st level a player may train skills according to their Intelligence score. All skills are usable untrained with the benefit of the skill’s governing attribute. Trained skills may be specialized resulting in an additional “side pool” bonus when dealing with that specific subset (e.g. Tracking 2, Favored Quarry Dragons 1, when rolling a regular tracking check the player gets their Wis +2, or +3 if they’re tracking a dragon). Skills are trained upon leveling, or can be trained through roleplay. They are organized through their respective governing attribute.
